What a contrast to the previous weeks weather, just a slight breeze, a bit of evening sun and the ground was a great deal firmer so the going was much improved. This also brought out the runners in force, as we had 203 juniors and seniors on the start line. Winner of the Egg Stage for a second time was Harry Holmes of Matlock AC in a time of 3.27, whilst first female round the Egg Stage was Clare McKee of Calder Valley in a time of 3.55. Both Harry and Clara then went on to win overall, Harry in a time of 15.29 and Clara in a time of 17.51.
Mens team winners for a 3rd week in a row were Wharfedale Harriers, whilst the ladies team prize once again went to Keighley and Craven

Next week its our relay event followed by prizegiving for the race series. Teams of 3, lot of different categories to compete in along with prizes for best fancy dress theme etc
Overall winner for this years series is Archie Budding of Ilkley Harriers, whilst ladies overall winner is Hannah Thomas of Keighley and Craven

Overall series prizes will go down to 10th place for Men and Ladies and then 4th place for Vet and junior categories. Remember you need to come to the relay event when we will present the overall series prizes or arrange for someone to collect on your behalf.
