From the Recreation Ground, Cowling, to Sutton Pinnacle via Cowling Pinnacle and back.
2.75 mile 475ft :
Starting from the gala field, leave by the stile or leap the wall, then cross the main road and wend your way through the back alleys of Cowling. Across a small field which brings you out onto Dick Lane. Turn right up the road for a short distance to the bend , then onto the moor. The first target is then to aim for Cowling Pinnacle( Salt Pot/ Wainmans Pinnacle) with a short clamber through the rocks to reach this. Then it’s off across the grassy top to Sutton Pinnacle ( Pepper Pot/Lunds Tower) which you circle before heading back the same direction to finish in the gala field.
