Results from Ted Masons 40th birthday celebration race, Runners and Riders are now available. By all accounts it was a close run race with cyclist Stefan Macina taking advantage of the final downhill to beat runner Simon Bailey, in a time of 30.14, just 22 seconds ahead of Simon.
First lady back was a runner Sarah McCormack of Ambleside in a time of 34.30.
As Ted was unable to compete on the day due to being race organiser he had completed both versions of the course prior to the day giving both runners and riders the chance to compete against his times. Teds time for running was 32.48 and for the bike 33.47, meaning he would have been 7th runner back or 4th cyclist.
