It was a glorious day for this years Great Whernside Fell race, with the sun shining down. The climb up the fell was hampered slightly by the strong headwind, but this was probably compensated with extra fast times on the descent.
Race winner was Harry Coates of Wharfedale Harriers in a time of 32.06, whilst first lady was Monica Padilla also of Wharfedale Harriers in a time of 41.18.
Mens and ladies team prizes also both went to Wharfedale.
