Thanks to everyone that braved the icy conditions for this years Stoop Fell Races. Due to the freezing rain overnight many of the paths and the quarry bottom had turned to sheet ice where water had accumulated. Fortunately the open ground was not affected so the for the juniors the U9 did 2 laps of the cricket field, and the older juniors 2 or 3 laps of a circuit round the open hillside. Meanwhile the seniors also set off from next to the car park, down the open hillside and then went straight up and down the Stoop on a slightly shorter course.
Mens winner was Nathan Lawson of Dark Peak in a time of 27.35 whilst first lady was Lex Whittaker of Harrogate Harriers in a time of 36.27
