Despite a promising start to the evening with warmth and sunshine, first a brief shower just before the junior races, which fortunately stopped whilst they ran, but then a more prolonged bout which started mid way through the senior race and persisted to make for a rather soggy presentation and end to the evening afterwards. The recent heavy rains also meant runners were treated to somewhat muddy conditions in several places underfoot.
Senior race winner was Tom Adams of Ilkley Harriers in a time of 32.30 whilst ladies winner, and in a new record time of 35:44, was Amelie Lane of Wharfedale Harriers.
