It was another somewhat warm evening for this years Beamsley Beacon Fell Race, with 150 runners taking to the start line. It was a battle of the youngsters at the front of the race, with 2 under 18’s , both from Ilkley Harriers battling it out for first place. It was Sam Bentham who led for the early part of the race, but he was overtaken by Edward Hobbs as they reached the moor and then went on to win in a time of 33.26. First lady was Caroline Lambert of Middlesbrough Mandale in a time of 37.50
