It was another great day for the Wharfedale teams at the latest Peco XC, Pendas Fields near Barnbow. Once again the mens team dominated the field, with 6 placed in the top 20. Lee Athersmith was this weeks front runner in 5th with Sam Watson 7th, Christian 10th, Dave Driver 14th, Dave Kirkham 15th and Nick Charlesworth 17th. The team was completed by Nathan 21st and Harry Muir 32nd for an incredibly low score of 111 which puts them firmly at the top of the First Division and odds on for promotion to the Premier league.
The ladies also had some great results to win their division on the day, lead by Sophie Martin in 4th, Monicca 22nd, Emma 24th, Judy Howells 29th and Sarah Charlesworth 70th. Currently in 3rd place but if they can win at the final race should move up into second place and gain promotion.
The juniors also showed some good form with Alex Thompson continuing his good run to win the 2 mile race , outright, while brother Will finished 3rd to take the year 10-12 race just in front of Logan in 7th who was 2nd Yr 10-12. We also had a couple of newcomers to these races with Tilly Labbett finishing 41st in the 2 mile race and Abigail Kirkham finishing 65th in the 1 mile race.
