Congratulations to Alice Jones and Alex Thompson who both repeated their success of two years ago by being declared West Yorkshire XC league champions, this time as U15 girl and boy. Alice was also joint U15 girl last year.
Alice set out her victory by winning all 3 races of the races she competed in, each time by a significant margin. It was similar for Alex but who ran all 4 races and won by clear margins. For the first two races he stayed with the pack for the first lap, unphased by those who sought to gain an early lead, waiting for the start of the second lap to gradually make his mark and pull away. However by the final two races he was more confident and each time broke away as they hit the hill on the first lap. leaving the rest in his wake.
