There was a great turnout from Wharfees for the first of this year’s Bunny Runs round Penistone Hill. It was a fine evening, just a little bit chilly as the sun started to go down. Good to see both young and old running together.
First back for Wharfedale was new member Ali Burns, in 9th with Sam Watson 14th and then Alex Thompson in 19th and 1st U15 boy, followed closely by Nathan, Marc, Dave Kirkham and Adam Stirk.
Alice Jones did well for chocolate as she was 2nd Lady overall, 1st U15 girl, and then led the Ladies to the team prize along with sister Emily and Sophie Martin. And that was after Alice tripped on the start line, and had to work her way back through the pack to catch up.
It was also a good night for the Jones as dad Chris then picked up first vet50 prize.
