Five Wharfedalers took part in the Great Hambledon Fell Race which was the first race in the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix races. Brendan Taylor won the race in 38.42, 2nd was Wharfedale’s Jimmy Craig in 39.32! First Wharfedale lady home in 2nd ladies place overall was Sarah Tipler in 44.25.
