It was another fine performance from the Wharfedale Senior Men at this weeks Peco XC at West Park in Leeds with 8 runners in the first 28, out of 461 in total. Once again that was the lowest team score for the day which puts them firmly at the top of the First Division and should hopefully lead once more to promotion, this time to the Premier Division. First counter was Jack Smith in 5th place, with Lee Athersmith a few places behind in 6th. They were followed by Sam Watson 16th, Craig Shearer 19th , Christian Holmes 20th , Spencer Riley 23rd, Marc Sennet 26th and Rob Furness 28th.
The Ladies also improved on their 2nd place at the last race to come 1st in their league this week, but they will have some work to do at the remaining 2 races as this still leaves them 4th in the table after 3 races. First Wharfedale Lady was Sophie Martin in 8th place, with Emma Dodd 27th, Judy Howells 38th, Jennifer Battersby 44th and Lynda Hargreaves 235th.
Meanwhile in the junior races Logan Hargreaves was 1st Year 10-12 boy in the 2 mile race.
