Low cost Physio at Bradford University

Bradford University has provided us with details of their Student training clinics which seem to provide some low cost therapy options for those who are in need of some TLC.  Below is the full message we received from them along with the link to their website and the main contact person if you want to take up any of their offers.

Hi I am the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist at the University of Bradford, where we run a highly successful Physiotherapy and Sport Rehabilitation Clinic. My main reason for introducing our services is to provide your athletes with an extremely cost effective option of managing any of your members who may be suffering with musculoskeletal issues. Over the years, we have expanded our fully supervised student led Physio and Sport Rehab clinics, in order to provide affordable MSK services to our clients in the locality, as well as provide clinical placement opportunities for our students. Specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment is also available from experienced clinicians. There are 3 main options for your clients/workforce to access the clinic’s services: 1. Assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal/sport injuries by a qualified, specialist clinical practitioner in MSK, appointments available daily, Mon-Fri. Priced at £45 for initial assessment and £30 per follow up (qualified staff). Under normal circumstances, appointments available within 3-5 working days. 2. Assessment and treatment of all musculoskeletal/sport injuries by our supervised students, appointments available Tuesdays 9-1pm, 4.30-6pm, Wednesdays 9-1pm, Thursdays 4.30-6pm and Fridays 9-1pm. Student led MSK clinics cost only £20 for an entitlement card, with up to 6 sessions of treatment, (that’s £3.33 per session!!) 3. Assessment and treatment/management of long term neurological conditions by a specialist clinical practitioner in neuro with students in attendance. Appointments available Tues evening only. Neuro clinic, £20 for initial assessment and £10 per follow up (NB students always in attendance). Please note we are more than happy to see clients who are not affiliated with the University and wish to self-refer. For further information, please visit the clinic website; http://www.bradford.ac.uk/health/physiotherapy-sport-rehabilitation-clinic/ , which gives you the lowdown on what we can offer and how to book. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you wish to discuss any of the above. Thanks for reading.  Kind regards        Kate Butterfield
