Some really impressive running at the Northern XC’s with both a Gold and a Bronze medal for our individuals. First up for us, was the U13 girls where Alice Jones took the lead from the start but she had competition hot on her heels all the way round, but managed to hold them off, to take the Gold medal. Eibhlis Price finished 189th and Tilly Labett 211th. Next race was U13 boys with Alex Thompson and Sam Smith both possible contenders. Alex took an early lead and led for most of the first half of the race, however as the race reached the halfway point and started back up the hill, Fraser Sproul of Kendal crept in front to take the lead, then in the final straight Alex dropped back to third to take the Bronze medal, whilst Sam Smith was not far behind in 6th, with Hamish Wills 69th. In the U15 Girls Emily Jones finished 41st and in the U15 Boys Logan Hargreaves-Madhas was 76th and Jack Muir 99th
In the Ladies race Sophie Martin finished 52nd and Lynda Hargreaves 332nd whilst in the Mens race Nathan Martin finished 228.
