The threat of heavy rain and thunderstorms meant numbers were limited for this years Cowling Gala Fell Race. However it was a good day for the youngsters with 1st and 2nd overall both coming from the U17 category. 1st overall and 1st U17 was Sam Smith of Wharfedale Harriers in a time of 18.53, with Alex Thompson also U17 from Wharfedale in 2nd place. 3rd overall and 1st senior went to Nick Treitl of Barlick Fell Runners. 1st Lady was Zoe Smith of KCAC in a time of 30.45
In the junior races, Charlotte Rawstron of Otley won the u14 race outright and set a new U14 girls record of 11.33 with Matthew Bradley of Wharfedale 1st U14 boy. 1st U12 was Logan Walker of Bingley with Emily Anderson of Wharfedale 1st U12 Girl whilst in the U9’s 1st boy was Jamie Dent and 1st girl was Jessica Anderson of Wharfedale
