Bunny Relays – Results 2022

The sun was shining as runners set off on the first leg of this years Bunny Relays.  58 teams took part competing for prizes in various categories. The overall winning team was the duo of Michael Malyon and Jack Wood, in a time of 29.30, with Michael running first and last legs.  Next across the line in a time of 30.05 and breaking the U15 Boys record were Runny Yokes, comprising, Jack Sanderson, Ewen Wilkinson and Archie Peaker.  First female team was Keighley Hoppers with Izzy Wright, Layla Kirkley, and Maisey Bellwood in a time of 35.19. Fastest lap on the night went to Toby Middleton with a time of 9.12, who led the way on the first lap, with fastest female being Maisey Bellwood in a time of 11.12.

Two other records were also broken. Jammy Dodgers with Charlie Albone, Will Oakden and Will Pease broke the U13 boys record in a time of 34.16. Whilst The Spicy Samosas with Bethan Buckley, Georgia Twist and Macy Plunkett broke the U13 girls record with a new time of 37.45.

The evening finished with presentations back at the Sun Inn for the relays and then the overall series prizes for those who had competed in all three Bunny Runs, followed by a chocolate and goodies throw out.

For seniors, over 18, next week its Dick Hudsons fell race from “The Barrier” Car Park in Ilkley, 7pm, 5th of May and then for juniors and seniors, Sunday 15th we are hosting the 3rd of this years Junior FRA Championship, with a Spring Edition of Great Whernside from Kettlewell.
