Bunny Relays – Results 2019

Once again it was another fine evening on Penistone Hill for the final event in this years Bunny Run series. It dropped a little cool as the sun went down, with 66 teams and 3 individuals competing for this years honours in the Bunny Relays

It was almost the same winning formula as 2018 as Joe Hudson, Tom Barrett and this year Cameron Reilly showed that youth can win out as they were this years winning team with a total time of 28.33. Joe Hudson was this years overall fastest runner with a time of 9.05.

It was a similar story for the ladies as the Bradford Grammar girls, Scrambled Legs, Martha Jackson, Rebecca Flaherty and Amelie Lane were first ladies team home along with being first U15 Girls team and setting a new U15 Girls record of 33.42, not far off the overall ladies record. Fastest female was Amelie Lane with a time of 10.41, not far behind the female record set by Katie Walshaw. There was also a new LV40 team record set of 42.27 by Bunny Boilers, Jayne Butterworth, Sue Marshall and Tricia Gill.

Prizegiving for the event was back at the Sun Hotel, followed then by prizes for the overall series and then a chocolate throw out.

The dry conditions no doubt made for some fast running as quite a number of people made it to the all time fastest runners list. Updated records and leg times are here:
