Some great results from the Yorkshire XC Championships:
Wharfedale U13 boys 8th team out of 20, just ahead of Ilkley; strong running from Thomas Nelson (14th), Josh Newbold (35th) and Robbie Johnstone (37th) backed up by Logan Hargreaves-Madhras.
James Hall ran strongly in the U17, coming 6th overall out of 48, ably backed up by Harry Muir and Declan Bulmer and helping the team secure 7th position.
With Sam Haggar now running in the U20 category, he managed a solid 13th from a strong contingent of 20.
In the senior mens race, Wharfedale managed a fine 12th spot, ahead of Ilkey (13th) and Keighley & Craven (16th). Sam Watson led the team home in 45th, pursued by Nick Charlesworth in 51st, Garerth Hird 74th, Jonny Brownlee (whoops Bradshaw) 93rd, Jason Hemsley 104th and Paul Crabtree 139th.
In the senior ladies race Wharfedale managed 14th place out of 19 teams. Gill Myers led the team home in 46th place, followed by a strong team presence consisting Caroline Pollard, Beckie Throup, Emma Dodd, Tamara Hemsley, Caren Crabtree, Sue Narey, Jean Powell and Lynda Hargreaves.
