Emma Dodd’s race report …
The race was won by Tom Adams of Ilkley in a time of 35.54, just outside the course record of 35.31.
There was a good turnout of Wharfedalers; Sam Watson had yet another excellent run to finish 2nd (38.28), despite face planting a bog in the first mile! Jonny Bradshaw followed in 10th position (3rd U23, 41.36). Top runs by Paul M Crabtree, 25th (44.49), Michael Bray 65th (49.38), Paul Hindle 74th (50.16), Martin Farrar 82nd (50.59), Chris Jones 87th (51.30), Michael Griffin 88th (51.31), Graham Breeze 165th (59.37), Stephen Milner 173rd (60.58), Rob Myers 178th (61.57).
A strong ladies field saw Emma Clayton finish 11th overall and 1st lady in 42.03. She was closely followed by Annabel Mason, both underneath the previous course record set by Emma last year.
The Wharfedale ladies were led home by a fantastic run from Gill Myers who finished 5th lady and 45th overall in a time of 48.01, followed by Sarah Tipler 7th, 56th overall,(48.56), Angela Donlon 17th,119th overall (55.21), Emma Dodd 20th,134th overall (56.39), Caroline Pollard 25th 156th overall (58.40), Sharon Newbold 42nd, 212th overall (72.16).
