It was a good day for both the Wharfedale men and the junior boys at the first Peco XC held at Temple Newsam. The morning started with the junior races round a 1 mile and 2 mile loop of the course. It was the 2 mile race where the Wharfedale youngsters came in consecutively in positions 3 to 7. Led by Alexander Thompson, then closely followed by Sam Smith, William Thompson, Logan Hargreaves and Jack Muir. The mens race also saw some equally impressive results with Jack Smith claiming 2nd place, then Sam Watson and Christain Holmes both finishing in the top ten at 7th and 8th. Christian also took 1st M40, whilst Nick Charlesworth was 1st M45 and the mens team easily took the team prize on the day.
