Even though we didn’t field a full team and picked up 150 penalty points, the mens team managed a very creditable 3rd place in the 2nd division. Counters were 9, 11, 15, 64, 191, 346, 346, 346 then 150 penalty points (the 3 346 entries are as we didn’t field so they come after the 345 who did run – the penalty points are 50 per missing runner).
Our mens veteren team were 1st team in the 1st division with all 3 v40+ counting and 1 of the required v50+. Points allocated were v40+ 9, 11, 15, v50+ 191, 346 and v60+ 346.
With the next event at West Park on January 4th it would be great if we could field more runners and move up the tables. Credit has to go to Sarah as our sole lady in the first 2 events, hopefully in the New Year injuries and illness will have subsided and more ladies will compete at the remaining events in the series.
