The temperature was slightly warmer than of late, however there was a low cloud and drizzle which made the ground wet, especially for the run across the tops and through several sections of bog. Add to this the strong winds and it was quite heavy going at times. The rain also made the ground quite slippy which added to the trickiness of the descent but still allowed for some excellent performances.
