It was a beautiful sunny evening for the start of this years Bunny Runs around the quarries of Penistone Hill, with the lack of rain making for a dry and fast course. 184 Juniors and Seniors set off round on the 2.7 mile circuit.
First across the line for the egg stage was Tom Adams of Ilkley Harriers in a time of 3:19, with first female Bethan Buckley of Keighley & Craven in a time of 4:11.
For the main race it was Martin Howard of Calder Valley in a time of 15:18, with fellow club mate Natasha Butterfield winning the ladies title for the first week in a time of 19:15
The race was then followed by the usual prize giving with lots of Easter Eggs on offer, back at the Old Sun Inn, finished off with a sweety throw out.

Please remember to keep your number and use it again if you come to the next two races, and for those that run all three races there are the chance of series prizes which are handed out after the relays. Even if you only paid for the first race, so long as you enter and run all three you will still qualify for series prizes. Also if you’ve already got a number, no need to fill a form in next time, just register with us that you wish to run, and if you’ve not paid for all three races, pay your entry fee.

Also please avoid parking in the residential streets behind the Inn. Apparently this is a now a residents permit area, so there is the possibility of being fined, and causes bad feeling with the residents.
