This was the second race in the FRA English Championships and the Wharfedalers were out in force. The ladies ran first at 1pm – Gill Myers had a fantastic run to finish 1oth overall, 2nd LV40 and 1st LV50, Looie Pickles was 17th and Kirsty Hall 28th – giving them 3rd ladies team on the day. The LV40 ‘s team were also 3rd with Gill, Rachel 29th and Jean Powell 52nd also running well.
In the exciting mens race Sam Watson was the first Wharfedaler to finish in 22nd, just holding off Ted 23rd, Goldie 36th also having a good run. Provisional mens team results – Wharfedale 5th.
