Being BOFRA’s second race of the series and also a Wharfedale both junior and senior championship race Wharfedale were out in force to compete. Despite the 5 minute shower whilst travelling over the clouds cleared and out came the sun along with hundreds of runners.
Wharfedale had some tremendous results in both the senior and junior races. Well done everyone.
In the seniors race 45 of the 105 runners were Wharfedale which was an amazing turnout. The race was won by our very own Ted Mason in 11:42. Followed by Sam Watson, James Hall, Jimmy Craig and Jonny Bradshaw, 4th 5th 9th and 10th respectively. Kirsty Hall had also had a great run to lead the Wharfedale ladies home in 2nd place.

This year the U17’s also ran the senior course but separately. Harry Muir of Wharfedale brought the runners home in a time of 13:56 with John Lockwood also of Wharfedale in 2nd.

Thomas Nelson lead won the U14’s race in a time of 6:24 wish Shona Hastings 1st girl in 8:07.
