The Airedale Hospital running club, the Airedale Dodgers, in partnership with Sue Ryder Manorlands traditionally host an 8k race at Bolton Abbey on the evening of the longest day which this year is the 20th June. The Saunter normal raises about eighteen thousand pounds for the hospice. Sadly, due to government restrictions, the event can’t go ahead so we thought we’d give everyone a chance to compete in a slightly different way. This year, for one year only the event has gone ‘Virtual’. No idea what we’re on about? This is how it works;
Register on line and pay your entry fee,
Complete the 5k at any time between sunrise and sunset on the 20th June,
Run/Walk safely within your own ability and the recommended government guidelines on self-distancing,
If you want us to record your time submit your Strava/GPS watch picture to us and we’ll add you to our league table of times,
If you don’t want to tell us your time, just let us know when you’ve done the distance,
You medal will be posted to you after the event.
