Daleside Auld Lang Syne – Final Entry Instructions 2025

This years race is now full

Please bear in mind that the car park is likely to get full quickly so please allow plenty of time to find a parking space.  Please car share if possible.  Please be considerate to any others users of the moor who may be trying to park.

On the day of the race you need to collect your number in person.  Registration is in the cricket hut from 9.30am. Do not collect anyone else’s number for them. Numbers are allocated alphabetically by name, so please join the appropriate queue. And don’t forget to collect your bottle of Daleside beer.  Once you have collected your number, if you decide not to run you must come back and tell us.  You must also return to the finish and hand in your number if you drop out of the race for any reason.

There will be free coffee and biscuits available at registration and after the race.  Due to disposable cups now being harder to source, if  you can bring your own re-usable cup that would be appreciated.

Please note there are a large number of small rocks scattered in the bottom of the quarry, toward the end where you exit and run onto the track at the start. Please take care when you set off and try not to trip over them. If you want to move some out of the way whilst you are warming up before the race, that would be greatly appreciated as it will make for a safer start.

Judging for Fancy Dress competitors will take place outside the cricket hut at 11.15am.

Race start time is 11.30am from the bottom of the adjacent quarry.
