It was bitterly cold and frosty for this years Daleside Auld Lang Syne race, as 316 runners set off on this annual new Years Eve race. The ground was pretty hard from the overnight frost, and there was a strong headwind on the way to Top Withins, with the usual puddles all iced over. The wind did at least provide a helping hand for the return however.
Race winner was Gary Greenhow of Ambleside AC in a time of 43:30, with first lady Jemima Elgood of Nidd Valley Road Runners in a time of 49:19
