336 runners set off from Penistone Hill to the sound of the bag pipes for this years Daleside Auld Lang Syne Race. For the most part the weather stayed fine, with even a hint of sun towards the end, but then the clouds and rain came back just in time for prizegiving. There was lots of fancy dress on the start line with everything from Cave Men, a Pantomine Horse and a Nativity scene complete with Manger.
Race winner was Jack Cummings of Ilkley Harriers in a time of 44.14, with ladies winner making it two in a row, Anna Watkinson-Powell of Dark Peak in a time of 50.48
